US, Saudi attack on Popular Mobilization Forces Headquarters in Iraq

Pars Today — Reports indicate that US and Saudi fighter jets have attacked a base of the Popular Mobilization Forces (Hashd al-Sha'abi) in Iraq.

According to Pars Today, citing the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) News Agency, the US terrorist army's Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that US and Saudi warplanes carried out strikes against positions of the Hashd al-Shaabi organization (Iraq's Popular Mobilization Forces).

Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Defense also confirmed its complicity with the US terrorist army, stating that it had attacked Hashd al-Shaabi positions in Iraq in an operation coordinated with CENTCOM.

Arab media outlets "Sabereen News" and "Naya" reported that bases of the Hashd al-Shaabi forces in the provinces of Basra, Wasit, Nineveh, and Karbala were targeted in the Saudi-American attacks.

Iraqi sources also reported early Wednesday morning that the Saudi military had carried out missile and artillery strikes on processions and pilgrims of the Arbaeen of Hussain in Karbala province.

The Hashd al-Shaabi organization (Iraq's Popular Mobilization Forces) issued a statement describing the US-Saudi terrorist attack on locations within Iraqi territory as a blatant and flagrant violation of Iraq's national sovereignty.

Additionally, the political office of Yemen's government condemned the joint US-Saudi attacks on Iraq as a violation of Iraq's sovereignty and contrary to international law, emphasizing Baghdad's right to respond to these strikes.
