ParsToday — The spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces has said that a Saudi oil tanker in the Red Sea was targeted with ballistic missiles.

According to ParsToday, citing Tasnim, "Yahya Saree," the spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces, said in a statement today, Wednesday, that the country's armed forces, in line with the decision of a naval blockade prohibiting maritime shipping for Saudi Arabia and establishing the equation of "blockade in response to blockade," targeted the Saudi oil tanker "Wafa" in the northern Red Sea opposite the "Yanbu" area with several ballistic missiles, and with God's grace, the missiles struck their target precisely.

The statement added that since the start of the naval blockade on July 22, the number of Saudi tankers targeted has reached eight, and the number of ships forced to turn back has reached 29.

The spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces announced that their military operations targeting Saudi oil tankers in the northern Red Sea are continuing and will intensify in order to close all maritime routes to that country.
