Lebanese MP: US-Israeli war on Iran failed to achieve objectives

Pars Today – Hussein Jishi, a member of the Loyalty to the Resistance parliamentary bloc in Lebanon, said the US-Israeli war against Iran had failed to achieve its objectives, stressing that the United States has so far failed to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

According to Pars Today, citing IRNA, Jishi pointed to the failure of the United States and Israel in their war against Iran and Washington’s inability to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. He said that Israel’s Mossad had dismissed two senior officials and held them responsible for the intelligence failure to overthrow the Iranian government.

Referring to a report by the British newspaper The Telegraph, he said Tehran had emerged from the conflict stronger than before and that the war launched by US President Donald Trump and Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu to overthrow or weaken the Islamic Republic had instead resulted in an expansion of Iran’s regional influence.

Jishi also said the region is witnessing a confrontation between the US-Israeli project to force the region into submission and plunder its resources, and the Resistance project, which he defined as opposition to US domination and Washington’s efforts to control the region, its governments, and its resources.

He stressed: “The occupying regime must leave our land because it is an occupier. Linking the continuation of Israel’s occupation to the disarmament of Hezbollah is a dangerous move.”
