Pars Today – Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, secretary-general of Yemen’s Ansarullah movement, said the Israeli enemy sought, during the de-escalation phase, to bring about the collapse of Yemen at every level.

According to Pars Today, citing IRIB, Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi said in remarks on Thursday, congratulating the Yemeni armed forces on their victories: “The dear people of Yemen are facing ongoing aggression and an unjust siege that is now entering its 12th year — a siege imposed by the Saudi enemy under US supervision and at the instigation of the Zionists.

“The Saudi enemy has refused to establish relations with Yemen based on mutual respect and shared interests. Instead, it insists that these relations be built on humiliation and domination over the affairs of the Yemeni people.

“Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din said the Saudi enemy believes its strength lies in keeping the Yemeni people weak, enslaved, oppressed, divided and fragmented. We are in a position of necessary defense, and we were not the ones who initiated Saudi Arabia’s aggression. The recent escalation began with the Saudi enemy’s bombing of Sana’a airport. At every stage, Saudi Arabia has been the one to initiate aggression, without any legitimate justification. Our dear people were not the ones who started the problem with Saudi Arabia, nor were they in a position of aggression against Saudi Arabia.”

He stressed that the Saudi aggressor had committed horrific crimes that have been recognized globally and by consensus as crimes, and that these crimes had been carried out systematically.

The secretary-general of Yemen’s Ansarullah movement added: “The issue of the siege remains one of the most prominent problems in relations with the Saudi enemy, as Saudi Arabia insists on keeping airports closed and imposing unjust and illegal restrictions on imported goods. The United Nations and international organizations have acknowledged the reality of the siege imposed on Yemen and stressed that the Saudi enemy has used arbitrary measures and restrictions to target the livelihoods of our dear people.

He continued: The Saudi enemy uses all its media and propaganda capabilities to justify its crimes against the Yemeni people. Based on the titles and claims it puts forward in its accusations and defamation, it seeks to incite others and attempts to bring them into its camp so that they, too, will participate in its crimes against the Yemeni people.

The secretary-general of Yemen’s Ansarullah movement said: The Saudi regime exploits accusations and allegations against the holy city of Mecca to serve its aggression and unjust siege against the Muslim people of Yemen. However, the Yemeni people are among the largest Muslim nations in terms of reverence for the holy sites and are among those that attach the greatest importance to them and are more prepared than others to protect them.”
