Syrian army forces have managed to regain control of a neighborhood of Aleppo from the Jaish al-Fatah terrorist group in their latest advance against militants in the contested northwestern city.

According to Press TV, the Minian neighborhood was recaptured on Wednesday, forcing terrorists into the nearby Dahiyat al-Assad district.

The militants had seized large parts of Minian on Saturday in a desperate attempt to counter the gains made by the Syrian government forces.

Aleppo has been a major frontline in Syria’s fight against different Takfiri terrorist groups. Extremists have occupied the city’s eastern flanks for several years.

Also on Wednesday, terrorists in Syria dismissed Russia's proposal for a humanitarian pause in Aleppo, which urged the extremists to stop fighting and leave the embattled city’s eastern parts.

Zakaria Malahifji of the Fastaqim Union terrorist group said, "This is completely out of the question. We will not give up the city of Aleppo to the Russians and we won't surrender.”

Earlier on Wednesday, Russian President Vladimir Putin offered a 10-hour humanitarian pause in Aleppo scheduled for Friday and ordered that aid corridors would also be open on the day, along with two new exit routes for the militants.

However, Malahifji claimed that there were no safe corridors out of Aleppo.

Meanwhile, a video was leaked on social media showing terrorists charging Aleppo residents for letting them leave the city.
