Venezuelan president calls tripartite aggression on Syria “criminal act”

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro described the US-British-French tripartite aggression on Syria as a “criminal act”.

“We say that this attack is a criminal act against the people of Syria; the attack was in fact carried out aimed at creating panic and terrorism, trying to destroy the scientific centers of the country,” Maduro said in a televised interview on Saturday evening, SANA reported.

“Those 'dogs of war' who need weapons and are engaged in fighting for their own vested interests at the expense of those killed, are responsible for this missile strike,” according to Maduro.

The Syrian Air Defense systems intercepted on Saturday, with high competence, the missiles of the US-British-French tripartite aggression on a number of sites in the surrounding of Damascus and Homs and shot down most of them.
