  • Congresswoman Greene condemns Biden’s obsession with Putin

Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene urged the Biden administration to prioritize military efforts on drug cartels over its obsession with Russian President Vladimir Putin and channeling billions of dollars into the Ukraine conflict.

According to Press TV, the Georgia Representative argued in a Twitter post on Sunday that if Washington gets its energy security in order, its national security will follow.

“Treat the cartels like you want to treat Putin,” Greene tweeted, pointing out that criminal gangs were “making billions trafficking humans and drugs killing over 300 Americans [per] day.”

She added that the United States should also prioritize its domestic oil and gas industry in order to “strengthen national security and deter foes.”

Greene tweeted in response to former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, who said conservatives should “make the case” that “helping Ukraine defeat Putin is in our interests.”

Pompeo claimed getting that narrative worked out would “strengthen our national security, deter a foe, and lower costs for Americans.”

It was not the first time Greene has criticized the Biden administration’s billions of dollars of military aid to Ukraine.

Last week, Greene said that the US military aid to Ukraine will drop to zero if the Republican Party got control of Congress.

“Under Republicans, not another penny will go to Ukraine. Our country comes first,” said the Georgian Representative in Sioux City, Iowa on November 4, noting: “Democrats have ripped our border wide open. But the only border they care about is Ukraine, not America’s southern border.”

Greene accused US President Joe Biden and other Democrats of ignoring domestic issues such as the economy, inflation, crime, and the fentanyl crisis, “putting America last,” and “destroying every single thread of democracy in the process.”
