Thousands of people across Nigeria commemorated the third martyrdom anniversary of Lt. Gen. Qasem Soleimani, former Commander of the Quds Force of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), and Abu Mahdi al Muhandis, the Second-in-Command of Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Units (PMU).

Lt. General Soleimani and al-Muhandis were assassinated along with their companions in a drone strike authorized by the former US President Donald Trump near Baghdad International Airport on January 3, 2020.
