Pars Today – Statistics released by the US Census Bureau indicate that trade volume between Beijing and Washington dropped by approximately 42 percent in May 2025.
According to the figures, US–China trade volume fell to $27.04 billion in May 2025, compared to $46.3 billion during the same month in the previous year—a decline of around 42 percent. Experts say that trade tensions between the two countries, which began during the Trump administration, have now taken a deeper toll, as reflected in this significant decline in bilateral trade for May 2025.
