May 08, 2023 12:51 UTC
Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida is in South Korea at the official invitation of President Yoon Suk-Yeol.
This is the first visit by a Japanese leader to South Korea since 2011. The trip comes as anti-Japan sentiment is high in South Korea and historical and territorial disputes still unresolved for many South Koreans.
