Pars Today- Politico magazine wrote that the EU sports official, referring to the war in Gaza, implicitly called for expulsion of the Zionist regime from athletic competitions.

According to Pars Today, European Commissioner for Intergenerational Fairness, Youth, Culture and Sport, Glenn Micallef, in an interview with Politico, in response to a question about the reaction of the world athletic community to the crisis in Gaza, said, "The countries which have no commonality with "our values" shouldn't have any place in athletic events." Condemning the dire situation of the people of Gaza, he said that the world of sports should raise its voice.

Asian Nations Cup lottery; Iran's women national team knows rivals

The first round of the AFC Asian Women's Cup will be held in Vietnam 7-14 June, 2025. The lottery for these games was held on Sunday at the Asian Volleyball Confederation and 11 teams recognized their rivals of qualification phase. Iran's Women National Team will play in the second group with Kazakhstan, Philippines, Indonesia, Mongolia and New Zealand. The first group consists of Vietnam, Australia, India, Chinese Taipei and Hong Kong. Men's games were also drawn, but due to Iran's participation at the World Nations League, Iran's men volleyball representative does not need to attend the competitions.

Iranian under 90kg young judoka won bronze medal of Asian Cup in Tashkent. Amir Abbas Choopan, playing at under 90kg for bronze medal, competed with a judoka from the host country of Uzbekistan and defeating the rival, bagged bronze for Iran.
