Pars Today- Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, Dmitry Medvedev, said in response to the US president's recent remarks against the Russian president, "World War Three is the only very bad thing."

The US President, Donald Trump, wrote on his social network, Truth Social, "What Vladimir Putin doesn't realize is that if it weren't for me, lots of really bad things would have already happened to Russia, and I mean REALLY BAD. He's playing with fire!" According to Pars Today, quoting from ISNA, Dmitry Medvedev, in reaction to Trump's remarks, wrote on Tuesday on X social network, "As for the remarks of Trump about playing with fire and really bad things for Russia, I consider only one thing as bad; World War Three. I hope Trump realizes this."

On the other hand, Keith Kellogg, Donald Trump's Special Envoy for Ukraine, rebuked the senior Russian official on Wednesday for stimulating fear of WWIII. Kellogg said, "Stoking fears of WWIII is an unfortunate, reckless comment… and unfitting of a world power."

He then claimed, "President Trump @POTUS is working to stop this war and end killing. We await receipt of RU Memorandum (Term Sheet) that you promised a week ago. Cease fire now."

American Senator, Lindsey Graham, in a message, warned the Russian president of a "new sheriff in town" meaning that a new president is in the White House.

Graham wrote on X social network, "Same ol', same ol' from Putin's Russia. Escalate to de-escalate. Drag it out, hoping others lose interest. There's a new sheriff in town. The old playbook won't work this time."

Meanwhile, informed sources told CNN that the White House is deciding on imposition of new sanctions against Russia.

Washington had produced new options during the recent weeks for imposition of new restrictions against Moscow, but Trump has not approved them, yet. However, according to the sources, he may withdraw from imposition of sanctions just like the past threats which he has not put into effect.
