Africa commends Yahya Sinwar; resistance prize awarded to martyred Hamas leader

Pars Today – The "Kwame Ture" award was presented to the family of Martyr "Yahya Sinwar", late leader of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas.

After the martyrdom of "Ismail Haniyeh", the martyred head of Hamas political bureau, Yahya Sinwar took up the banner of this resistance group as his successor. He was martyred on October 16, 2024, in a bombing of a Gaza area by the Zionist regime’s army. According to Pars Today, quoting IRNA, in a symbolic ceremony honoring the struggles of nations against colonialism and domination, the All-African People’s Revolutionary Party awarded its annual "Kwame Ture" prize for 2025 to the family of Yahya Sinwar, the martyred head of Hamas political bureau.

This award was given to honor his pioneering role in leading the Palestinian resistance and his heroic defense of the Palestinian people's rights against the Zionist regime occupation, especially during the "Al-Aqsa Flood" operation.

The award ceremony was held as part of the annual "Africa Liberation Day" celebration. This day coincides with the anniversary of the founding of the Organization of African Unity on May 25, 1963, and commemorates the struggles of African nations against colonialism, racism, and dependence.

The aforementioned award was received by the Palestinian Alternative Revolutionary Path Movement on behalf of the family of Martyr Sinwar and the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas.

The Palestinian Alternative Revolutionary Path Movement added in a statement: It is an honor for us to be present at this significant event, Africa Liberation Day, and to receive the Kwame Ture award as a trusted entity, presenting it to the family and comrades of the great Palestinian national leader, Martyr Yahya Sinwar.

The movement further emphasized: This award symbolizes the depth and strength of the historical bond between the Palestinian liberation movement and the African liberation movements. Your sacrifices, martyrs, and revolutionary leaders have always been an inspiration to us, and Kwame Ture's path was always accompanied by a clear and revolutionary stance in support of the Palestinian cause. Martyr Yahya Sinwar deeply understood the connection between Zionism and imperialism.
