Iran's proposal to BRICS; independent program for countering sanctions

Ahmad Naderi, Chairman of the Iran-Brazil Parliamentarian Friendship Group, attending the foreign relations committee of the 11th Summit of BRICS Speakers, said about the issue of "Promotion of Investment and Transferring Technology for Sustainable Development", "BRICS can regulate its financial policies according to collective and national interests."

Speaking at the work meeting of the Parliamentarian Foreign Relations Committees of BRICS member states, speaking on the theme of "Financial Tools for a more Resistant Economy and more Sustainable BRICS", Naderi put emphasis on development of independent, varied and smart financial infrastructures.

He added, "Resistant economy is a kind of economy which is tolerant against foreign shock such as financial crises, sanctions or severe change of prices, and is able to quickly restore. Sustainable economy, too, seeks balanced and long-term growth which, safeguarding natural and human resources, guarantees the interests of future generations. For BRICS, which enjoys wide economic and geographical variety, to materialize these two objectives requires to use smart financial tools and effective collective cooperation."
