Ali Akbar Velayati described the recent SCO leaders’ summit as one of the most important meetings in world history, assessing that this organization will in the future play the foremost role in shaping the destiny of the world.

According to Pars Today, Velayati said in an interview with Tasnim that the 25th SCO leaders’ summit was held on August 31 – Sep 1 in Tianjin, China, with the participation of more than 20 non-Western world leaders as well as the UN Secretary-General.
