Pars Today — A prominent U.S. newspaper reported that anger toward the Israeli regime has spread from the Islamic world to Europe and increasingly to the United States, noting that Israel’s actions have driven regional countries closer to the Islamic Republic of Iran.

According to Pars Today, the Wall Street Journal reported that growing anti-Israel sentiment and support for the Palestinian cause among the younger generation, particularly in U.S. universities and European high schools, is weakening Israel’s global standing.

The report added that Mayra Zonsin, senior analyst at the International Crisis Group, warned that “ordinary Jews and Israelis will bear the heavy burden of this hostility in the coming years.”

Natalie Tocci, Director of the Institute of International Affairs in Rome, described widespread protests in Italy as a reaction to Israel’s treatment of Palestinians and Western backing of Tel Aviv, stating: “Israel, bolstered by Western support, has overstepped its limits, and its allies have failed to prevent its long-term self-destruction.”

Additionally, former U.S. diplomat Daniel Shapiro said that “ending the war and possibly changing leadership in Israel is essential to improve its global standing.”

According to the Wall Street Journal, Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, by exaggerating military achievements, has described Hamas as an obstacle to the establishment of a Palestinian state.

Recently, Western countries such as France, the United Kingdom, and Canada have moved toward recognizing a Palestinian state. Abu Saadeh, a professor at Al-Azhar University in Gaza, highlighted the revival of the Palestinian issue on the global stage and recalled the heavy toll borne by the Palestinian people.

The report added that Israel’s provocative and aggressive actions in the region, including attacks on Iran, Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, and Qatar, have raised concerns among West Asian countries and strengthened regional cooperation, such as the Saudi-Pakistan security pact and closer collaboration among neighboring states.

In this context, retired British General Martin Sampson noted that the region fears domination by a single power, and now “Israel, as this dominant power, freely wields its military might, while regional sympathy has shifted toward Iran.”
