Pars Today – People in southern Lebanon took to the streets to celebrate following the announcement of the agreement between Iran and the United States and the establishment of a ceasefire.

According to Pars Today, citing IRIB News Agency, Lebanese media, by publishing images of these celebrations, reported that the ceasefire was achieved following an agreement reached under terms imposed by the Islamic Republic of Iran on the American side, bringing an end to the hostilities in Lebanon.

At the same time, Hazam al-Asad, a member of the political bureau of Yemen’s Ansarullah movement, described the agreement as a sign of victory for the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Axis of Resistance, stressing that independent nations of the world have realized that the United States is not an invincible power.

Ali al-Qahoum, a member of Yemen’s Ansarullah political bureau, also described the agreement as a sign of Iran’s victory and the United States’ defeat, stressing that the so-called “New Middle East” Zionist plan has failed.

Sheikh Khaled al-Mulla, head of the Association of Sunni Scholars in Iraq, also characterized the agreement as the result of steadfastness and resistance.

Qatar’s Foreign Ministry, welcoming the memorandum of understanding between Tehran and Washington, described it as an important step toward strengthening peace and economic growth in the region and expressed appreciation for the efforts of mediating countries, including Pakistan.

Meanwhile, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi welcomed the agreement between Tehran and Washington and expressed hope that it would lead to an end to the war and strengthen peace, stability, and security in the region.

French President Emmanuel Macron and UN Secretary-General António Guterres also welcomed the agreement between Iran and the United States.

In addition, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, and Italy issued a joint statement supporting the agreement, emphasizing cooperation with the United States, Iran, and the International Atomic Energy Agency, as well as the need to maintain stability, sovereignty, and a lasting ceasefire in Lebanon.

Meanwhile, some Israeli settlers described the agreement as an achievement for Iran and claimed that Iranians had brought Donald Trump to his knees.
