CNN reveals: U.S. military seeking a way to exit war

Pars Today – A U.S. media outlet reported that the Chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff has called in private meetings for finding a way to end the war with Iran and has warned about the consequences of further escalation.

According to Pars Today, citing ISNA, CNN, quoting three informed sources, reported that Dan Caine, Chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff, has stressed in private meetings with senior officials in the Donald Trump administration in recent weeks that the United States needs to find a way to withdraw from the war with Iran.

CNN reported that Caine has shared his concerns about the consequences of escalating the conflict and the limited range of military options with John Ratcliffe, Director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), Marco Rubio, Secretary of State, and J.D. Vance, Vice President of the United States.

The U.S. network added that nearly six months after the war began, while Trump continues to emphasize his stated objective of preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, the country's highest-ranking military officer has privately acknowledged that there is no easy military solution for ending the war.

Meanwhile, Chuck Schumer, the Democratic leader of the U.S. Senate, criticized Trump's record on the damage inflicted on the U.S. economy, saying that Trump's war, tariffs, and economic policies had resulted in the loss of more than 130,000 jobs. He sarcastically asked: "What planet did Trump come from to call this the greatest economy in history?"
