Pars Today – The former director of the US National Counterterrorism Center, Joe Kent, has called for US forces to leave the region following the US attack on Larak Island in southern Iran.
According to Pars Today, citing Iran’s IRIB, Joe Kent warned about the consequences of the attack on Larak Island, writing in a post: “We targeted sites on Larak Island in Iran, and Iran will respond. If we want to control the cycle of escalation and prevent the war from intensifying further, we must withdraw our forces from the region.”
Kent added: “If Iran succeeds in killing US forces, we will once again be drawn into a war, but this time Iran will determine the terms.”
He stressed: “Withdraw the forces and reduce the risk.”
