Welcome to the program. Struggle against Global Arrogance is an unchangeable principle of the Islamic Republic system of Iran. The Islamic Revolution presented a novel thought to the world with negation of dominance-seeking or being under dominance. This liberating thought caused a great challenge in front of the arrogant global powers the main symbol of which is the regime of the United States of America.

The victory of Iran’s Islamic Revolution on 11 February, 1979 was the beginning of a new era in Iran’s relations with the world outside. This was enough for the US and its allies to hatch every plot to encounter the newfound system of Iran. Imam Khomeini (God’s mercy upon him) said,

“The Islamic Republic came and pushed aside this false owner and delivered the country to its main owner, the people. They hold elections, they participate. They dismiss, they approve. This was the enemy’s first trench which the Islamic Republic and Islamic Revolution dismantled this trench.”

Now 38 years into the Islamic Revolution, this great phenomenon has a lot of attractions for thinkers and literary men across the world. On one hand this revolution stirred the wave of fervor and hope among Muslims and Oppressed of the world; and on the other hand it disturbed the political equations of the Global Arrogance for dividing and dominating the world as it desires.

The Islamic Revolution, in words and deeds, dismissed any type of dominance-seeking and being under domination. This divine revolution, by defending the rights of all Muslims and non-commitment before the hegemonic powers, caused the wrath and enmity of the Front of Arrogance against Islam and Muslims. The Islamic Republic, since its emergence, declared its political programs by stressing resistance against oppression and injustice. Ayatollah Khamenei stated, “The Islamic Republic, since the beginning, has said and proved that it will not retreat against bullying, oppression, imposition, pressure and haughty expectations of the global arrogant and won’t abandon its lofty ideals.”

This important goal had a global message and, exactly under the conditions that the international system had been divided between the west and the east, the Islamic Revolution raised a third way that meant to challenge the might and aggressive policies of the bullying powers.

This new thought, with its global impacts, opposed the hegemonic policies against weak nations and strengthened the justice-seeking demands of oppressed nations on the other hand. This move was inspired by the Islamic Revolution and Iran’s revolutionary patterns were highlighted as a way for fulfilling the violated rights.

Political analyst, Hamed al-Khlaifa, said, “Victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran is one of the greatest events of mid-20th century. Iran’s Islamic Revolution affected many countries and nations and put new opportunities in front of uprisings and combatant currents for freedom-seeking and independence.”

The Islamic Republic system has indeed raised great potentials of human values and stressed the principles which were sought by oppressed masses all over the world but had been archived in the backrooms of the international law.

For sure, the Islamic Republic does not expect the powers of the Front of Arrogance to accept or support these principles. Their behavior revealed their anger. Martin Indyke, former American undersecretary of state, said in this regard, “Punishment of the Islamic Revolution will be a lesson of admonition for the countries which step in the course of independence and liberation from the US dominance.”

In fact, the enmity of the bullying powers with the nascent Islamic Republic was because of the new role model inspiring free-spirited humans especially Muslims. Well-known American author, Noam Chomsky, believes that the enmities, conspiracies and oppositions of the US and western countries against Iran is due to independence and non-abiding of this country by the western hegemony and colonialism.

The Islamic Revolution awakened Muslims throughout the world and opened a new chapter in the west-Islam confrontation. The western hostility and conspiracies began right from the first days of victory of the Islamic Revolution and they were expanded in various forms ever since. Alexander Hague, the US Secretary of War in the Jimmy Carter administration, said, “In my opinion what is more dangerous and important than international problems are the consequences of Islamic fundamentalism which has begun in Iran… if this goes out of control it will jeopardize the interests of superpowers in the most dangerous way. Being Islamic is the main reason for our concern and opposition against the revolution.”

The Islamic Revolution, through enlightening the oppressed people of the world, especially Muslims, prepared the ground for sustainable political developments in the region and the world. This great development introduced Islam as a determining political power to the world. The model-making and global messages of justice-seeking are definitely in contrast to the interests of the Arrogant. From the viewpoint of Arrogant powers, the Islamic Revolution has not bestowed independence only upon Iran, but it has also revived the nature of independence-seeking in the world. It succeeded in illustrating a practical model for the oppressed nations whose clear example can be seen in Palestine. Support for the oppressed nations has been stressed in the Islamic Republic Constitution in various chapters.

Expert of political issues, Eve Werinson says, “Iran’s access to political, economic, cultural and military independence and the Iranian method has turned into a model for the combatants who are fighting in Iraq, Sudan, Palestine and so on with those dominating their soil. It is interesting that they fight with the same slogans of the Islamic Revolution (death to the US), methods (popular mobilization), weapons (light and conventional armament) and symbols (trust in God). These very things make the Arrogance concerned about occurrence of one or more victories like the victory of Iran’s Islamic Revolution.”

Article three of Iran’s Constitution stresses that the Islamic Republic government should base the foreign policy on the Islamic criteria, namely, fraternal commitment toward all Muslims and unsparing support for the oppressed of the world. Article 154 considers independence, freedom and the government of truth and justice as the right of all people in the world. Based on this article the Islamic Republic supports the truth-seeking struggle of the oppressed against the oppressors.

Support for the right and truth has a broad meaning and shouldn’t be confined to a single issue. In view of this, Iran not only feels duty before the trampled rights of the Palestinians, it also considers itself responsible toward the fate of those who are wronged. Iranian Foreign Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif, speaking in Kuala Lumpur, lambasted the silence of the so-called mainstream media on the state of the Muslims of Myanmar.

Zarif’s voice

As for the fate of Yemen, too, the Islamic Republic of Iran has many times condemned the Saudi crimes. The Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei described the UN acquiescence and shutting its eyes vis-à-vis the ongoing crimes and child killing in Yemen as a shame for mankind, adding, “This scandal is against the real human rights and we must do legal and judicial work on it at the global level.”

The Islamic Republic of Iran has deemed as oppression against mankind the wars imposed on the people of Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria. These oppressions have been created by the bullying powers. Today, if human beings are the victims of aggression, oppression and cruel murder, in every region from Bahrain to Myanmar or Africa and even in the US and Canada it has originated in the oppressive policies of the powers of the Arrogance Front. Obviously, the Islamic Republic of Iran is strongly opposed to any form of oppression and has firmly stood against totalitarianism of arrogant powers. Hence, it will never come short of supporting anti-oppression struggles in any part of the world. Ayatollah Khamenei expressly says on the issue, “The Yemeni nation is an oppressed nation. The Bahraini nation is an oppressed nation. The Palestinian nation suffers from chronic oppression and this nation has been under pressure for long years. We support the oppressed as much as we can and as much as we are able and capable it is our duty. Islam has told us, ‘Be the foe of the oppressor and the help of the oppressed’. This is the order of the Commander of the Faithful.”

For the past 38 years the Islamic Republic of Iran has acted this way and this is the reason for enmity against the Islamic Republic and Islamic Revolution on the side of the Global Arrogance led by the US. These enmities will not stop as long as the Islamic Republic of Iran pursues the path of defending the rights of the downtrodden and oppressed masses in the world.
