November 4 – Divine Day of Iran’s Continuous Victories over US
November 4 or the 13th of the Iranian month of Aban is indeed a Red Letter Day in the history of the Iranian people. It is the anniversary of so far three important events in the contemporary history of Iran on which plots against Iran and the Iranian people badly boomeranged for the US. In other words, whenever the harebrained policy-makers in Washington tried to bare their fangs on this day they received a teeth-smashing blow.
Yet, instead of learning from its grave mistakes the current quixotic regime in the White House with its delusional threat of imposing another set of illegal sanctions on Iran’s oil and banking sector on Aban 13 this year is about to commit another big blunder that promises a decisive victory for the Islamic Republic of Iran by cutting off for good the already bloodied nose of the US, which has not stopped bleeding since the historic 4th of November 1979 when university students stormed the US embassy in Tehran and exposed it as a den of spies, prompting the Father of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeini (RA), to call it the Second Revolution.
Today as the nation holds rallies to celebrate Students’ Day and the Day of Campaign against Global Arrogance, especially in Tehran in front of the former US den of spies, it is worth recalling the words of the Late Imam Khomeini, who had hailed Aban 13 or the 4th of November as “Youmollah” which means the Day of God.
The person who restored to Iran its religious, national, cultural, political, scientific, social, and economic prestige, meant whatever he said. He was not playing with words, as politicians who get elected for a term or two and then fade away from the scene do, with eyes only on the people’s vote, while the heart and intentions might not tally with what they speak.
As a loyal servant of the Prophet of Islam and the Infallible Imams of the Ahl al-Bayt, through sheer dedication to the dynamic teachings of Islam, he had achieved the status of Ijtehad (or independent reasoning on the basis of the holy Qur’an and Hadith), and then risen to higher degrees to become the Wali-e Faqih or the Supreme Jurist, who is always cognizant of the ubiquitous presence of God the Omnipresent.
Thus, it was divine inspiration which made Imam Khomeini use the term “Day of God” for the day on which the Den of Spies in Tehran fell to Muslim students, who by seizing top secret documents – even painstakingly piecing together those hastily shredded by the spies caught off guard – foiled a dangerous plot to overthrow the Islamic Republic, and in the process exposed to the whole world the satanic nature of the administrations that march in and out of the White House.
Now we understand why this Man of God, used another divinely-inspired term, that is, “Great Satan” to designate US administrations, whether Republicans or Democrats. He meant to say that Iranians and all the world’s oppressed should always be vigilant of the plots of the US and never allow it to infiltrate their societies, since humanity is faced with a monster that is more mischievous that its master, Lucifer the Outcast – dropping atomic bombs on Japan, overthrowing popular governments (e.g. Mosaddeq of Iran), massacring the people of Vietnam, reducing Afghanistan to thralldom, patronizing the illegal Zionist entity, backing bloodthirsty dictatorial regimes, supporting terrorist outfits to destabilize Syria, Iraq and other Muslim lands, withdrawing from and violating international accords, and so on.
This is the reason, the present Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, as the loyal disciple of Imam Khomeini, said Iblis (Lucifer) only tempts mankind to commit sins and crimes, but the US as the Great Satan practically wreaks havoc on humanity and destroys all humanitarian values.
He said our enmity is with the satanic nature of the US administrations and not with the American people, who are also oppressed by the regime in the White House, so when we say “Death to the US”, we mean the satanic elements that run it, and who have never hidden their inherent animosity towards Iran.
As the Leader of the Islamic remarked this year on Saturday November 3 in his latest speech on the eve of the anniversary of the historic 13th of Aban to a large gathering of students eager to take part in rallies on the 39th anniversary of the seizure of the US den of spies: “The important fact is that in this 40-year-old conflict, the US has been on the losing side and the Islamic Republic of Iran on the winning side. Today the US is far weaker position, both in economy and military power, while Iran has risen to great heights of progress and self-sufficiency.”
This explains the latest desperate attempt of the Trump regime to choose November 4 to impose more illegal sanctions on Iran, more as a psychological measure rather than practicability of sanctions, which is further proof of the string of failures of Washington, when the whole world, including the European Union’s High Representative Federica Mogherini and Foreign Ministers Jean-Yves Le Drian of France, Heiko Maas of Germany and Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt of Britain, along with the Finance Ministers Bruno Le Maire of France, Olaf Scholz of Germany and Philip Hammond of Britain, issued a joint statement on Friday November 2 of opposing the US move and reaffirming continuation of cooperation with Iran.
Today the eyes of the whole world is on Iran, as thousands of students and people from other walks of life are rallying on the streets with vociferous chants of God’s Greatness (Allah-o Akbar) and death to the US and the illegitimate Zionist entity, Israel, which ought not to exist on the map of the region, as well as “hayhat minna az-Zilla (never to humiliation!)”.
As we said earlier, November 4 is considered an important day in the history of the Islamic Revolution, since it reminds us of three remarkable events at three sensitive junctures in the history of the Islamic revolution. It is the day on which in 1964 the Shah was ordered by the US to exile Imam Khomeini to Turkey for his strong opposition to the Capitulation Bill, little knowing that the popular leader will soon return to deliver Iran from both domestic despotism and foreign hegemony.
November 4 is also the day on which in 1978 while events in Iran were fast moving towards the victory of the Islamic Revolution, the Shah’s security forces, at the behest of the Shah, massacred several students at Tehran University, in a bid to avert the inevitable. These events inspired the Iranian Muslim people to assert their independence with more determination.
It is the day of joy that is rightly celebrated. It is the day that shattered the idol of arrogance and made it bite the dust. Iranians and dedicated Muslims all over the world will forever commemorate this day with jubilation for the fall of Satan.
It was a master stroke of revolutionary strategy that ensured the stability of the newfound Islamic Republic and has continued to be the source of strength for the Iranian people.
The US mission, long detested by Iranians for its highly suspicious and undiplomatic activities turned out to be espionage den. The seized gadgets and documents revealed startling facts. The Americans, in league with certain treasonous elements in Iran were plotting to overthrow the Islamic Republic system.
Edward Snowden was not yet born in 1979, nor was software available to the Iranians, who succeeded in decoding top secret American classified data on the activities of its agents.
This was indeed a great blow to Washington and that explains for the avowed hostility of Uncle Sam towards the Iranian people, against whom none of the plots have succeeded, beginning with the 8-year war launched by Saddam of Baghdad’s repressive Ba’th minority regime in the 1980s, to the current sanctions.
This is all proof of the frustration of the Americans, who as the Late Imam used to say: cannot do a damn thing.
In other words, if the Americans were capable of doing anything against Iran, they would have long succeeded in overthrowing the popular Islamic system, as they did in Egypt. All this means that the sanctions on Iran are nothing but desperately self-defeatist attempts of the Great Satan, which has lost all hope of checking the steady progress of the Islamic Republic in various fields, including peaceful use of nuclear energy, missile defence technology, and growing influence in the region to create stability by thwarting the devilish designs of the US and its client regimes.
In short, November 4, rightly called the Day of National Campaign against Global Arrogance, is a day of triumph for the aspirations of the Iranian people.
Uncle Sam’s bloodied nose looks so awful today that no amount of cosmetic surgery will ever set it right, whatever the gravity of Washington’s crimes, ranging from Saudi Arabia’s state terrorism in Yemen to the bulldozing of Palestinian homes by its other agent the illegal Zionist entity, and in between the cannibalistic terrorism of its Takfiri brats in Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Nigeria, etc.
Perhaps, those who have greater faith in the devil rather than trust in God Almighty, might say how the US imposed the devastating 8-year war on Iran through Saddam of Baghdad’s repressive Ba’th minority regime, and how it clamped supposedly ‘painful’ economic sanctions on the Islamic Republic for refusing to bow to its dictates to wind up the peaceful nuclear programme.
True, Iran may have suffered loss of life and material wealth because of the unwanted war and the illegal sanctions, but on closer scrutiny, the fact cannot be denied that these sacrifices were essential for the emergence of a powerful and politically independent Islamic Iran, whose clout today prevails throughout the region in the interests of the oppressed masses and against the designs of terrorists of all hue and colour, while it is the US and its agents who continue to suffer setback after setback – if not outright defeat.
Even the nuclear agreement, JCPOA, which Iran had accepted to show its good faith to the world, and which the US violated, is indeed a blessing in disguise for the Islamic Republic. People in Iran and around the world, have become better aware and more conscious of the devilish nature of the US.
This was the reason, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei brushing aside the idea of any negotiations with Washington, called the American politicians “liars, untrustworthy, deceitful and backstabbers.”
The Americans know very well that whatever tricks they had tried against the Muslim people of Iran, failed miserably. Those in doubt ought to study the significance of Aban 13. The free world rightly feels indebted to the Islamic Republic for delivering them from the tentacles of the US, whose nose now appears to be on the verge of being cut off for good by Donald Trump.
