As you know national production is one of the main factors for progress of every country. Every individual has a duty in this regard. It both benefits the economy of the country and creates job for the youth. Now we have an analysis of the issue with a focus on the viewpoints of Ayatollah Khamenei in this regard.

Ayatollah Khamenei says, “Production is the basis and pillar of economy in the country. For the economy of a country, the most important sector that can create sustainable thriving is production.”

Islamic Iran has resolutely decided to take firm strides in the field of production so that in not so distant future will make the economy independent from the sale of oil and gas. This ideal will materialize via incessant endeavour and indefatigable labour. The Leader of the Islamic Revolution urges the officials and the people to stick to the motto of “We Can”.

He even named the Iranian solar year 1391 as the “Year of national production and support for the Iranian asset”. Elsewhere he said, “The key to the economic prosperity is the issue of production. Through ample internal capacities, production must be driven so that economic prosperity and non-oil exports materialize.”

If necessary laws are passed for production and skillful and efficient workforce exists nothing will change as long as there is no investment. In the view of Ayatollah Khamenei the main duty of the banks is to invest in production and financial support for producers. He believes that the banks can play both a constructive and destructive role in the domain of production. The Leader says, “Banks should be at the service of production and if they are put at the service of production many problems will be solved.”

Lack of financial support will lead to the bankruptcy of small and medium-size economic agencies.

Banks play a major role in production. However, the outstanding role of investors shouldn’t be ignored in improving the economy of a country. Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei maintains that investors, through creating numerous production institutes, can help the cycle of production move and many people be employed. The Leader states, “Investors and those who have wealth should invest. I know some people who could have spent their money at lucrative sectors other than production but they didn’t do this, saying, ‘We won’t do this. We want to serve our country.’ They came and invested with less profit and less income for they understood that the country is in need. Well, this is worship. The investor who thinks of the need of the country and doesn’t take his money to spend in brokering and lucrative works that are detrimental to the country; but he comes and spends it in investment. This is a righteous act. Therefore, the investor has a role.”

According to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, not only the investors, banks and government officials play a role in production, but all people also are duty-bound to work in the course of pushing forward production and economy. He stresses, “Everybody should make all their effort in different sectors for the issue of production. Of course, this has requirements. Both the investor, and the worker, and the consumer and the responsible government establishments; all of them have duties. This is not one-dimensioned. Everybody should cooperate to lift this big stone and remove this great rock from the way of the country’s march.”

Another important concern of the Leader in the field of production is the support of people for the Iranian producer and worker. He keeps recommending people, “The righteous investor and worker who endure the difficulties of the work, spend their life, their time and their energy to make an appropriate product, they are worshipping. A fair and conscientious consumer, too, can help the production of the country in this way. They shouldn’t search name and fame. They shouldn’t look for brands. They should pursue expediency. The expediency of the country is the internal production and helping the Iranian worker. One can make him deprived and make the foreign worker enjoying. Of course, we love the entire mankind but the Iranian worker is working for the honour of this country. He is the dear part of this nation. He should be endorsed. He should be empowered.”

One of the points the Leader points out for the officials is the control and management of imports. In recent years, there have been numerous instances of indifference towards national production via importing unnecessary goods or the goods which have domestically manufactured counterparts.

Campaign against goods smuggling is another point highly focused by the Ayatollah Khamenei. This sinister phenomenon deals fatal blows to the economy of all countries especially the developing ones. The Leader recently stressed that the commodities seized from smugglers must be immediately burnt in front of them.

He also calls on all manufacturers inside the country to pay much attention to the quality of their products. The Leader also urges the government to create healthy climate of rivalry for the domestic products.

Ayatollah Khamenei tells the producers, “Of course, the internal producer, whether the manager, the worker, or the investor is called for and insisted to present the product finely, thoroughly and perfectly. Both of these are the pointed to in Islam and are the command of our sacred religion. God has called us for perfection of work. He has also called us for respect of the worker. He has called us for the worker’s life and job security. He has also called us for the security of investment.”
