Today, we make a simple comparison between the costs of the election campaigns of the two US presidential hopefuls, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, and the budget needed for assistance of research on eradication of pollutants.

The growing emission of pollutant gases, which has led to depletion of the Ozone Layer, has caused a number of changes within the habitats of mankind, turning the climate change into one of the main global concerns.

The emission of pollutant gases, as the main result of combustion of fossil fuels has ultimately caused global warming.

The countries which maintain large economies are among the main consumers of fossil fuels.

Only in the US, which maintains the third largest economy in the world; more than 254 million vehicles have been registered; the majority of which are run by fossil fuels.

In other words, there are four vehicles for every five Americans in the US.

The large number of cars in the US led to consumption of more than seven billion barrels of oil products in that country in the year 2015.

Meanwhile, despite the main involvement of the US in global warming, the US officials have made the least commitment toward the campaign against climate change.

For instance, they have vowed to provide $861 million for research on combating climate change.

This sum is only equivalent to 52.7% of the budget allocated by the Republican and Democratic Parties for the election campaigns of the two candidates who are running for president in the US in 2016.
