Throughout the years 1979-1981, the MKO terrorists carried out many terrorist operations, assassinating a large number of officials and people of Islamic Iran.

Measures such as detonation of a bomb at the premier and presidential offices of Islamic Republic of Iran, which martyred the then Iranian president, Mohammad Ali Rajai, and the then Iranian prime minister, Mohammad Javad Bahonar; explosions amid the Friday Prayers in Tehran and other cities of Iran that left a number of Friday Prayer leaders martyred; an assassination attempt against Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei; an explosion at Islamic Republic Party’s headquarters on June 28, 1981, that martyred 72 Iranian officials, including the then Judiciary Chief, Dr. Seyed Mohammad Hussein Beheshti; a military attack against Iran with the assistance of the US and a number of Western regimes on July 1988; concurrent attacks against Iran’s embassies in thirteen countries on April 1992; bombing at the Holy shrine of the 8th Infallible Imam of the Prophet of Islam’s Household, Imam Reza (Peace be upon him), in the holy city of Mashhad on June 20, 1992, which left 25 pilgrims martyred, and 70 others injured; assassination of a number of commanders of Iran’s Army and the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps including Major General Ali Sayad Shirazi; are part of the bleak record of conduct of the MKO terrorist outfit and other operatives.

The Western regimes’ double standards in dealing with terrorism have led to institutionalization of terror across the globe. The US, instead of confronting terrorism, covers up its support for terrorism. The US, based on its political motives and by taking advantage of terrorism has tried in vain to justify its unwavering support for MKO terrorist outfit, in accordance to Western criteria; and currently we bear witness to spread of terrorism as a complicated and all-inclusive problem.

The US in its bleak record of conduct in a number of decades, has fully taken advantage of terrorism and extremism. However, its trial and errors in this domain continue to this day. MKO terrorist outfit supporters have drifted further apart from understanding the actual root causes of violence and terrorism, which in fact has resulted in the West’s huge blunder and mistake in dealing with terrorism.

US overtly supports MKO terrorist outfit, instead of campaigning against terrorism. This comes while the spread of terrorism has left irreparable adverse impacts. Currently, the US maintains its own definition of terrorism, and in the aftermath of 9/11, the US forced the UN Security Council to approve a binding resolution against terrorism, in order to be granted a license for pulling off self-motivated measures.

The post-9/11 UN Security Council resolution included a number of commitments which all UN member states should implement in accordance to Article 25 of the UN Charter. Some of the binding commitments mentioned in the UN Security Council’s resolution include refusal to financially support the individuals who carry out terrorist operations, and refusal to recruit operatives of terrorist outfits and to arm them. Member states of the UN Security Council, including the US, approved this resolution. This very resolution was interpreted as a license for the occupation of Afghanistan by the US troopers.

Meanwhile, the fact of the matter is that US policies do not match the international criteria in relation to the campaign against terrorism. The US unwavering support for MKO terrorist outfit is a flagrant violation of global obligations in the campaign against terrorism.

When the US officials shaped Al-Qaeda terrorist group, and were closely linked to this terrorist outfit’s ringleader, Osama Bin Laden; no one imagined that one day the US, under the pretext of campaign against terrorism, would attack and occupy Afghanistan. Today, the same scenario is underway in regard to the US-led coalition against Daesh terrorists.

Terrorist groups such as Al-Qaeda and Daesh have been trained by the US and Zionist regime’s spy agencies, namely CIA and MOSAD, and have emerged with the financial assistance of regional Arab states, such as the Saudi regime, based on solid and irrefutable documented evidences. Meanwhile, the US, upon the exclusion of MKO terrorist group from the list of terrorist outfits, has in fact justified this outfit’s terrorist operations and has voiced support for them.  Bearing this in mind, how can one expect the US to campaign against terrorism in earnest? Needless to say, those who currently claim to champion the struggle against Daesh and other forms of terrorism, are ironically the plotters, supporters, and investors of terrorism in the region and across the world.

According to reliable reports, MKO terrorists in the US, hands in glove with a number of Middle Eastern states, have hatched conspiracies to somehow topple the sacred Islamic system.

The presence of the former Saudi spy chief, Turki al-Faisal, who is one of the influential figures in the Saudi regime’s foreign and security policies, in a recent meeting of MKO terrorist outfit in Paris showed that Aale Saud, alongside the US, is conspiring against Iran, with the usage of MKO terrorist outfit, whose operatives are set to be the foot soldiers of this ominous plot.

The Saudi officials have done everything in their power to advance this conspiracy. On one hand, they invited well-known Arab figures to this meeting, and, on the other hand, they encouraged Western officials to take part in this gathering to show that they are backed by Western regimes. Meanwhile, as a reminder, the invited Western officials had also taken part in MKO terrorist outfit’s gatherings in recent years, while the tidy sums of money that Western officials took in order to attend these meetings have been published on several occasions.

The unprecedented collaboration of the Saudi regime with MKO terrorists showed that the Saudi officials leave no stone unturned in their enmity toward Islamic Republic of Iran, and even resort to burnt pawns such as the MKO operatives to advance their sinister goals.

Based on a report, posted on Al-Monitor analytical website; the study of hundreds of documents show that MKO terrorist group spends millions of dollars in a futile bid to topple the sacred Islamic system, and to lobby among US Congressmen and US officials.

Provocations such as the Saudi regime’s open support for terrorist groups such as MKO outfit go to show that Saudi officials are intent on making use of MKO terrorist outfit to attain their political goals. Establishment of a safe margin for MKO terrorists in Albania is part of this conduct.

Meanwhile, the slogans chanted by Western regimes in opposition to terrorism have faded away and have become paradoxical. International bodies such as the United Nations are practically toeing the West’s line and supporting state sponsors of terrorism such as the Saudi regime and the illegal Zionist entity. These international organizations are in fact fueling violence via turning a blind eye to the root causes of terrorism and violence. Support for terrorism by dividing operatives into good and bad terrorists, and establishment of a safe margin for MKO terrorist group isn’t justified while MKO operatives have spilled the blood of thousands of innocent people in their terrorist operations. Aren’t these crimes, cases of terrorism?
