Widespread anger among Palestinian leaders over Mahmoud Abbas’s controversial remarks
Pars Today - The statements of the Head of the Palestinian Authority, Mahmoud Abbas at the Palestinian Central Council’s meeting drew a wave of criticism from Palestinian leaders, who viewed these controversial remarks as detrimental to Palestinian national interests and a factor in exacerbating internal divisions.
Tayseer al-Ali, a member of the Palestinian National Council, told the Quds Network that Mahmoud Abbas’s speech at the Central Council was an insult to the people, who have lost hope in him following these statements. Al-Ali added that these statements are an obstacle to national unity, because no one can unite with those who accuse them of being unpatriotic and cause of harms to the Palestinian people, while the occupiers are the main cause of all these damages. /IRNA
