Iranian MP: Level of Iran–Azerbaijan’s trade relations will increase

The head of the Iran-Azerbaijan parliamentary friendship group and Ardabil’s representative in the Iranian Parliament (Majlis) announced that trade relations between Tehran and Baku are projected to increase to five billion dollars.

Sodeif Badri stated that current level of trade relations between Iran and Azerbaijan is less than one billion dollars. He noted that the recent successful trip of the Iranian president to Baku, at the invitation of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, aimed to expand economic and trade ties. Badri added that this trip has had a positive impact on relations between both countries and also with the countries of the region./ IRNA
