G7 calls on India & Pakistan to engage in direct dialogue

Pars Today – The so-called Group of Seven nations (Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United States, the United Kingdom, and the European Union) have called on India and Pakistan to exercise maximum restraint and to engage in direct dialogue with one another.
In a statement released by Canada, the foreign ministers of the G7 condemned the deadly terrorist attack on tourists in India’s Kashmir on April 22 and urged both New Delhi and Islamabad to exercise maximum restraint. The G7 statement added: "We call for the immediate de-escalation of tensions and encourage both countries to engage in direct dialogue in pursuit of a peaceful resolution./ IRNA
