Guterres: Forcible displacement of Gaza residents is unacceptable

Pars Today – On Saturday, the UN secretary-general firmly opposed the displacement of residents of the Gaza Strip, stating that collective punishment of the Palestinian people is unjustifiable.

Speaking at the Arab League Summit in Baghdad, Antonio Guterres emphasized that nothing can justify collective punishment against the Palestinian nation. He called for the release of captives and an end to the war in Gaza, stressing, “We do not accept the forced displacement of people from this region and are concerned about the expansion of Israeli operations there.” He also condemned Israel’s continued settlement expansion as illegal and unacceptable./ IRIB news agency
