Pakistani PM appreciates Iran’s peace initiative
Pars Today – On Saturday evening, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed heartfelt appreciation in a phone call with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian for Iran’s benevolent, sincere, and fraternal efforts to resolve misunderstandings and facilitate a ceasefire between Pakistan and India.
Praising the recent visit of Iran’s foreign minister to Islamabad and Iran’s initiative in proposing a ceasefire, Sharif described the effort as an effective and constructive step toward reducing tensions between the neighboring countries. Reviewing recent developments in bilateral relations, including the exchange of fire and establishment of a ceasefire, he noted that although the two nations have fought three wars over the decades, none has resolved the fundamental issues between them./ IRIB news agency
