Air Force commander: We are committed to ensuring Iran's security
Pars Today – Commander of the Iranian Army's Air Force, Brigadier General Hamid Vahedi, said on Saturday that the Iranian people place their hopes in their Armed Forces, and with a commitment to the future of this land, the Air Force will continue its efforts and fulfill its role in shaping a force befitting the Islamic Republic.
Brigadier General Vahedi, describing May 24 (the liberation day of Khorramshahr) as one of the proudest days in Iran’s contemporary history, stated: “Wars and political events form part of a nation’s history.” Referring to the excessive rhetoric of Iran’s enemies, the commander of Iran’s Air Force added: “Today, too, the enemies continue their overblown remarks in an attempt to impose their political will. We have new ‘Khorramshahrs’ ahead of us, and we must fulfill our historic role to assert our political will.”
