Former US official: Iran's nuclear program cannot be dismantled

Pars Today – A former US politician and diplomat on Tuesday emphasized that the Islamic Republic of Iran is continuing along its nuclear path, and clearly stated that the US demand to halt Iran’s uranium enrichment program is practically unattainable.

Wendy Sherman, former lead US negotiator in the 2015 nuclear deal with Tehran, spoke about her experience in engaging with Iran and noted that President Donald Trump could achieve a slightly improved agreement over the JCPOA, given his control over both Congress and the Senate.

Sherman stressed that "the Islamic Republic of Iran will maintain its nuclear program even in the event of an attack on its current facilities." / ISNA
