Iranian teenage judoka rises to third in world rankings

Pars Today – An Iranian teenage judoka competing in the over-90 kg weight category has continued his string of successes and climbed to third place in the International Judo Federation’s global rankings for his age group.

Mohammadpouria Banaeian, the Iranian teen judoka who recently won a gold medal at the Asian Cup in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, has secured third place in the world in the latest IJF rankings for the over-90 kg category.

Following this achievement, Arash Miresmaeili, President of the Iranian Judo Federation, awarded a special prize to Banaeian in recognition of his valuable efforts. Iranian judo has performed well in recent months. / IRNA
