Egyptian FM: We support stronger ties between Iran & Persian Gulf states

Pars Today – Egypt’s foreign minister on Monday welcomed Iran’s open-door approach to relations with Persian Gulf countries.

In a joint press conference with Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi in Cairo, Badr Abdel Atty said regional stability can only be achieved through adherence to the principles of good neighborliness and respect for national sovereignty.

He stressed the importance of collective cooperation to confront challenges that exceed the capacity of any one country, adding that Egypt supports a political and peaceful resolution to Iran’s nuclear case. (IRNA)
