Kamalvandi: Tehran will reconsider cooperation level with IAEA if anti-Iran resolution is passed
Pars Today – The spokesperson for the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) said on Monday that should a resolution be adopted against Iran, the Islamic Republic will take a firm stance not only toward the three European countries but also toward the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
Behrouz Kamalvandi stated: “We have cooperated with the IAEA beyond our obligations, but if this cooperation is not appreciated, naturally, we will reduce it to the normal level.”
Regarding Tehran's response to a possible anti-Iran resolution by the three European countries, Kamalvandi said: “As in previous experiences, Iran will certainly take a proportionate response.”
He emphasized that the nature of Iran’s reaction will depend on the stance taken, but this time, in addition to the position taken against the three European countries, Iran will also take a position toward the IAEA, as it has fully cooperated and the Agency should recognize that. (ISNA)
