Pars Today- The renowned football manager condemned Zionist regime genocide in Gaza.
Pep Guardiola, famous manager of Manchester City club, receiving an honorary degree from the University of Manchester, sadly spoke of human disaster in Gaza. As one of the most influential figures in the world football, he spoke of not football tactics, but the pain of the Palestinians children and called on the world people to break their silence against this injustice.
Guardiola said, "When I see the pictures of Gaza, my whole body hurts. This is not the issue of politics or ideology; it is rather the issue humanity."
This famous football boss, referring to the massacre of civilians, especially the kids in Gaza, made it clear, "Every day that I wake up and see my children, I remember the kids in Gaza. They are slaughtered. If the world people keep silent, whose turn will be tomorrow?"
Guardiola's words didn't indicate a mere condemnation, but they were a call for jolting dormant consciences.
He stressed that silence before oppression means complicity with the oppressor and every man in any part of the world has to do something to end this human catastrophe.
The Zionist regime launched an all-out war in the Gaza Strip on 7 October, 2023 to achieve two main goals: destroy Hamas and return its captives. But, it failed in both of them and was forced to agree with a truce with Hamas for exchange of captives.
A ceasefire was put into effect on 19 January, 2025 between Hamas and the child-killer regime in the Gaza Strip. Accordingly, a number of captives were exchanged, but the Zionist regime didn't attend the second phase of the ceasefire negotiations and, violating the ceasefire on 18 March, resumed aggression and massacre of civilians in Gaza.
According to the Palestinian health ministry in Gaza, 54,927 Palestinians have been martyred and 126,615 have been wounded since the outbreak of war in the Gaza Strip on 7 October, 2023.
