Iravani: Iran calls for emergency UN Security Council meeting
Pars Today – The Permanent Mission of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the United Nations on Friday submitted an urgent letter to the UN Security Council, calling for an emergency session to condemn the Zionist regime’s attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities and the assassination of military officials, and to hold the regime accountable for its blatant acts of aggression.
In the letter addressed to the president of the Security Council, Iran's Ambassador to the UN, Amir Saeid Iravani strongly condemned the recent acts of aggression by the Zionist regime—carried out with US support—against Iran’s peaceful nuclear facilities and senior military figures.
He called for an immediate emergency meeting of the Council and decisive action in response to these criminal and provocative attacks.
Iravani stressed that “the unlawful actions of the Zionist regime constitute a clear violation of the UN Charter and fundamental principles of international law, posing a serious threat to regional and international peace and security.”
