Israeli air and ground assaults on Syria

Pars Today – Local Syrian sources reported that Israeli special forces carried out hours-long air and ground attacks on areas in the countryside of Damascus and Dara'a.

According to these sources, a unit of Israeli forces consisting of three armored vehicles entered the village of Rakhleh in western Damascus countryside near the Lebanese border, opposite the town of Yahmour in the Rashaya region. This marked the first such operation in the area.

Simultaneously, Israeli special forces carried out an airborne assault using three helicopters in the Ya'afour region, approximately 10 kilometers from Damascus. The operation targeted a facility previously used by the Syrian Republican Guard. / IRIB news agency
