Israeli Army Radio: Soldiers committing suicide under mental and physical strain

Pars Today – The Israeli Army Radio reported on Sunday that Israeli soldiers are taking their own lives due to the intense physical and psychological stress of the war on Gaza.

According to the report, the suicide rate among Israeli soldiers has increased by 50 percent since the start of 2025 compared to the previous year. Eighteen soldiers have committed suicide since the beginning of this year, compared to just nine during the same period last year.

The radio cited the main cause of the suicides as the growing physical and mental toll, particularly linked to operations in Gaza. In the same context, military correspondent Avi Ashkenazi from the Zionist daily Maariv wrote that the regime is now stuck in the Gaza quagmire.
