Iranian Deputy FM: Uranium enrichment must continue on Iranian soil

Pars Today – The Deputy Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, elaborating on the discussions held in Istanbul, stated: "Uranium enrichment must continue inside Iran."

Majid Takht-e Ravanchi, speaking on Friday, noted that a meeting was held at the deputy foreign minister level with the three European countries—Britain, Germany, and France—in Istanbul, Turkey. He said:
“One of the key issues for us was Iran’s rights within the framework of the NPT (Non-Proliferation Treaty), including the issue of enrichment, which is one of our inalienable rights and must continue inside Iran.”

He added:
“Of course, the issue of lifting unjust sanctions was also among the topics discussed, and we emphasized that these sanctions must be lifted as soon as possible.” / IRIB News Agency
