Iraqi: Iranian President's visit to Pakistan an opportunity to reassess cooperation potential
Pars Today – On Sunday, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran described the visit of Iran's President, Masoud Pezeshkian, to Pakistan as an opportunity to reassess the potential for cooperation between the two countries. He stated that Tehran and Islamabad, as architects of a peaceful, pluralistic, and integrated future in the region, can grow together.
Seyed Abbas Araghchi, in a note published in the Pakistani newspaper The News International coinciding with Pezeshkian’s visit to Islamabad, emphasized that "one of the fundamental principles of Iran’s foreign policy is to establish strong, enduring, and mutually beneficial relations with its neighbors." He added that "within this vision, our relationship with Pakistan holds a special place."
The Iranian Foreign Minister said: "As two independent nations situated along Asia’s vital corridor, Iran and Pakistan can gain much from sustained cooperation and, beyond that, contribute to the future of our region. The official visit of Iran’s President to Pakistan reflects this growing trajectory."
Araghchi also described the ongoing diplomatic consultations between Tehran and Islamabad as indicative of a deeper alliance that goes beyond ceremonial diplomacy.
