Pars Today – The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement condemning the Israeli regime’s decision to build new settlements around occupied al-Quds.

The ministry rejected remarks by Gideon Sa’ar, Israel’s foreign minister, opposing the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, describing them as a clear violation of international law and the Palestinian people’s legitimate right to self-determination. It also noted that these statements violate UN Security Council resolutions, particularly Resolution 2234 (2016), which obliges Israel to halt settlement construction in the West Bank, including East al-Quds.

Referring to the advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice, which invalidates the annexation of Palestinian territories and calls for the end of Israeli occupation, the Saudi Foreign Ministry stated that these decisions and remarks are part of Israel’s expansionist and illegal policies, which disrupt the peace process and pose a serious threat.

Saudi Arabia also called on the international community to fulfill its legal and moral responsibilities by supporting the Palestinian people, recognizing an independent Palestinian state, and pressuring Israel to halt its aggression in Gaza and illegal actions in the West Bank and East al-Quds.
