Pezeshkian: Shanghai Summit an opportunity to strengthen multilateralism, regional interactions

Pars Today - The President of Iran said: "The Shanghai Summit is an important opportunity to strengthen multilateralism and regional interactions."

"Masoud Pezeshkian," the President of Iran, stated on Sunday morning at Tehran's Mehrabad Airport before departing for China to attend the Shanghai Summit: "The member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization constitute nearly 2.5 billion of the world's population, and over 40% of the global economy is encompassed within this organization."

The President of Iran cited enhancing the level of relations with member countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization as one of the goals of his trip to China and attendance at this summit, stating: "The Shanghai Summit is a very important and suitable opportunity to strengthen multilateralism and regional interactions with countries." / IRNA
