Iran’s non-oil trade reaches around $44 billion in the first five months of this year
Pars Today – The non-oil trade of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the first five months of this year reached 76,539,000 tons, valued at $43.94 billion.
Forud Asgari, Deputy Minister of Economy and Head of Iran’s Customs Administration, said on Tuesday that Iran’s non-oil exports in this period increased by 0.07% in terms of weight but decreased by 6% in terms of value. Imports during the same period fell by 4.5% in weight and 16.3% in value.
He stated that the main export commodities during this period included natural gas, liquefied propane, petroleum bitumen, liquefied butane, and methanol, while the main imports consisted of gold in raw forms, animal feed corn, sunflower oil, rice, and soybean.
The head of Iran’s Customs Administration added that the largest shares of Iran’s non-oil exports were destined for China, Iraq, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Afghanistan, Oman, and Pakistan.
