NATO Secretary-General: Everyone Is Within Range of Russia’s Missiles

Pars Today – The NATO Secretary-General warned that in the era of advanced missile technologies, the concept of distance has become practically meaningless, and all European members of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) are within the reach of Russian missile capabilities.

Mark Rutte, NATO Secretary-General, emphasized that no European country can feel secure solely because of its geographical distance from Russia. He cautioned that in today’s age of modern missile technology, distance is essentially irrelevant, and all European NATO members are within the range of Russia’s missile systems.

Rutte, referring to the growing threats from Russia, emphasized that these threats should not be underestimated.

The NATO Secretary-General also noted that while some believe Moscow’s threat is limited to countries bordering Russia, the reality is that, given Russia’s new missile technologies, the time difference for a missile to reach Lithuania, Luxembourg, The Hague, or Madrid is only five to ten minutes—meaning it would take just that short a time for a missile to strike these parts of Europe. /IRNA
