Pars Today – The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) has warned of the worsening humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip.
The UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) announced that the peace plan proposed by the United States represents a “rare glimmer of hope” for alleviating famine and delivering aid to more than two million people in Gaza. The statement noted that access to food in the enclave has sharply declined due to market collapse, cash shortages, and skyrocketing prices. UNRWA also reported that around one million people in Gaza receive less than the minimum emergency level of drinking water per day. The collapse of essential water and sanitation services has further exacerbated the humanitarian crisis in the region. /IRNA
