Israeli regime strikes Southern Lebanon
Pars Today – Coinciding with the arrival of Pope Leo, leader of the Catholic Church, in Lebanon, the Israeli regime carried out attacks in southern Lebanon.
Israeli drones dropped a sonic bomb on the town of Maroun al-Ras in southern Lebanon, while reconnaissance aircraft and drones targeted the Wadi Mazlum area on the outskirts of Beit Lif, also in the south.
This aggressive action comes as Pope Leo has entered Lebanon with a message of peace and has been welcomed by the country’s officials. During his visit, the Pope is scheduled to meet with Lebanon’s president and prime minister and address the nation’s leaders.
Earlier, CNBC reported that following his visit to Turkey, Lebanon marks the second and final stop of Pope Leo’s historic trip to West Asia, where he advocates for peace in a country overshadowed by the threat of new Israeli regime aggressions. /IRNA
