2019 Volleyball World Cup: Iran 3-1 Canada

Iran’s National Volleyball Team (Team Melli) have registered their first victory in the 2019 Volleyball World Cup after defeating Canada 3 sets to 1.

According to Press TV, the Canadian were better side of the match and grabbed the opener 25-18.

But, the Asian powerhouses regrouped and took the second set 25-23.

Iran’s team kept the momentum in the next two sets and overpowered their opponent after defeating them 27-25 and 25-19 respectively.

Iran will next meet Australia on Saturday in the event, which is currently underway in Japan.
