U-23 World Wrestling Championships: Iran earn 2 gold medals

Iranian Greco-Roman youngsters have earned 2 gold medals at the 2019 Under-23 World Wrestling Championships which is currently underway in Budapest, Hungary.

According to Press TV, on the 2nd day of the event and in the 63 kg category, Meysam Delkhaani grabbed the gold after coming from behind to beat his Georgian rival 7-6.

Delkhaani had earlier defeated opponents from Belarus, Ukraine, and his semifinalist opponent from Turkey.

Meanwhile in the 130 kg category, Ali-Akbar Yousefi bagged Iran’s 2nd gold without any fight after his Finnish opponent withdrew due to injury.

Yousefi advanced to the Final after beating rivals from Finland, Germany and Turkey.
