President Seyyed Ebrahim Raeisi called for the promotion of ties between Tehran and Nur-Sultan in messages to the Kazakh leaders.

According to Tasnim news agency, President Raeisi hailed the 30th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Iran and Kazakhstan in separate messages for Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Nursultan Nazarbayev, who has been granted the honorary status of Elbasy-Leader of the Kazakh nation.

In the message for Nazarbayev, President Raeisi referred to the positive and neutral view of Kazakhstan in resolving the Iranian nuclear issue, and said, "I am confident that the path of relations between the two countries, with mutual will and efforts, will continue for the welfare of the two nations and in order to ensure and strengthen regional and international peace and stability."

In another message for Tokayev, Raeisi noted that the relations between the two countries cover a wide range of issues, resulting in the signing of 114 documents on the development of cooperation, especially in the economic and trade fields.

"During the thirty years of diplomatic relations, the Islamic Republic of Iran has considered Kazakhstan as a reliable partner in the Central Asian region and the Caspian Sea, and has made serious efforts to expand bilateral relations," the Iranian president added.
