FM discusses regional issues with Iraqi security advisor

Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian has discussed regional issues with Iraqi National Security Advisor Qassim al-Araji.

Upon his arrival in the Iraqi capital Baghdad, the FM started meeting with Iraqi authorities, including the National Security Adviser to the Prime Minister of Iraq Qasim al-Araji.

The two sides mainly focused on regional developments, in particular the Zionist regime’s crimes against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

In the meeting, al-Araji emphasized Iraq’s support for the Palestinian nation and condemned the Zionist regime's atrocities. He announced that a large anti-Zionist demonstration is scheduled to be held in Baghdad on Friday.

According to the latest statistics from Gaza’s Health Ministry, the death toll has reached 1,354, including scores of children, with 6,049 wounded since Israel began its bombardment of the territory.
